D.C. Boys Choir, a group of musically talented young male students, established to help develop self-esteem by nurturing their creativity through artistic expression.

The D.C. Boys Choir has gained national and international recognition with honor and distinction, under the leadership of Eleanor Stewart, a retired vocal music teacher of the District of Columbia public schools.

The D.C. Boys Choir was established in 1993 and is one of the premier music groups in the nation. The D.C. Boys Choir has a long and distinguished list of command performances, from Harlem to the White House and throughout Europe. They have appeared at the Kennedy Center, sung as special guests of the Washington Men's Camerata and for the 14th Annual Choral Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The choir represented the nation's capital in Beijing, China at the pre-Olympic Music Festival, June 25-July 6, 2008.

The choir was the recipient of the 1993 Mayor’s Youth Initiative Grant, 1994 Alpha Kappa Sorority, Inc. Zeta Omega Chapter Youth Service Award, 2003 Choice Hotel International Grant, 2005-2006 Grant from Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention of the U.S. Justice Department, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Living The Dream Award January 15, 2007and the Foundation for the Advancement of Music and Education Award in 2006, 2008, and 2013.
